3/29: Ding Dong The Bug Is Dead

Hey folks. :D Bet you weren’t expecting a Demon update today, but here we are. :) The links at the right have been updated to include the 3/29/2025 version.

Don’t get tooooo excited though: this update is pretty much just to fix the worst of the bugs that was on the open list. In very rare circumstances, your allies would sometimes remove hard control effects from enemy summoners who were at very low MaxHP. This should no longer happen now.

I’m a bit rusty at making Demon builds, so I’ve left the previous build at the links too for a bit just in case. If anyone runs into issues with the new 3/29/2025 version, please let me know. Otherwise, enjoy, and good luck in the Tower!

The 2/28/2025 update of Interdict is now available! https://ferretdev.itch.io/interdict

Over 25 new skills have been added to the game, bringing the total available to over 180. The new skills provide a variety of options for expanding existing character and party builds, as well as designing new ones. And yes, as this post’s title and screenshot promise, one of the new skills does indeed allow Sorcerers to summon a faithful pug familiar to aid them. (Cat and crow familiars are also available.)

Balance adjustments have been made to a several mechanics and systems as well: warcries can now only be used from the front row, FP drains now work better against enemies and are not quite as devastating when used on player characters, and tougher monsters such as Thanes and Wyverns now appear with fewer and/or weaker allies. In addition, several smaller improvements and bug fixes have also been made.

You can join the FerretDev.Org Discord if you’d like to chat with other Demon or Interdict players. I’m there too of course, answering questions and talking about future plans for Interdict. :)

Please enjoy the new update, and good luck on your adventures!

Lost Obelisks

The 1/4/2025 update of Interdict is now available! https://ferretdev.itch.io/interdict

Strange Obelisks can now appear in Lethe and the Necropolis, seemingly constructed of a variety of unusual weapons, armor, and other objects. If approached, they summon a stream of enemies to protect themselves, but players who defeat these hordes may be able to remove a few of the items that make up the Obelisk before it vanishes again.

These possible rewards come from a pool of over 70 new items added in this update, all of which have unique and unusual properties not previously seen. I expect a variety of new character and party builds will be possible as folks get their hands on the new goodies and begin experimenting with them.

As usual, several bug fixes and smaller improvements have been made as well. :)

Finally, as a reminder, you can join the FerretDev.Org Discord if you’d like to chat with other Demon or Interdict players. I’m fairly active in there too of course, answering questions and talking about what’s coming up next for Interdict.

Please enjoy the new update, and good luck on your adventures!
